I built this laptop stand so that I could travel the world, maintain my posture, and not have to haul something really heavy. It is a very simple design made out of cardboard and comes apart into just 5 pieces making it very easy to pack.
I built it for a 13″ Macbook Pro, and therefore the dimensions of the stand fits that well. There are three pieces that are 9″x13″ and two pieces 6.5″x4″. Two of the big pieces have one long slot on the top and two small slots on the opposite side. The slots are all 5/32″ wide to match the width of the cardboard.
