Oh how easy it is for me to go a day doing nothing but thinking and reading (and eating.)

Well, that’s to say it is easy until the next day, when my body aches from inactivity.

Ironic, isn’t it? That the body will ache from doing nothing.

In the midst of an intellectual adventure, whether on the computer or in my own head, I often forget that I have a body that wants an actual adventure. Sometimes I can go days at a time without realizing how little activity I have done with my body.

And then, with a jolt of exercise, a sprinkling of nature, and a ray of sunshine, my body remembers that it is more than just a brain, and feels delightful.

We are more than brains. Let’s remember that.
