Yesterday, I posted about Breathless, and how such a beautiful film can have an emotional impact on a culture. Today I’ll talk about how emotions and breathing are inextricably linked.

According to Wordnik, breathless is defined as:

marked by the suspension of regular breathing, as from tension or excitement: a breathless audience.

Needless to say, I was left breathless.

However, at the same time, I was still breathing.

Breathing and emotions are strongly connected. Whether you need scientific evidence, religious evidence, Broadway evidence, or your own evidence, there’s very little denying it.

Want to change your emotional state? Change your breathing. Want to recognize your emotional state? Pay attention to how you are breathing.

Simple. But takes practice. Lots of practice.
